SB 11.25.28: Food that is wholesome, pure and obtained without difficulty is in the mode of goodness, food that gives immediate pleasure to the senses is in the mode of passion, and food that is unclean and causes distress is in the mode of ignorance.

BG 14.6: O sinless one, the mode of goodness, being purer than the others, is illuminating, and it frees one from all sinful reactions. Those situated in that mode become conditioned by a sense of happiness and knowledge.

I think this is the ideal solution. Why does meat taste good to people identifying as carnivores? Half the time, it's the properties in the food itself. this can be done using alternative healthy solutions to receive for example, protein. I think over time you get used to the taste, and because a lot of meat comes with the sauce, it's only natural to want more. Some like saucy foods, others do not. What inspired humans to eat meat is the relationship between predator and prey, the food chain.

A video that I made about spirituality and veganism

Now 16 months vegan and loving it. Feel better both physically and spiritually.
Someone once said "Be the change you want to see" ( or tome thing along those lines!) and this is working as now there are 2 more vegans at my workplace and another person starting to move towards it. So I guess the saying is true :)
My only 'problem' is my partner who refuses to understand my choices and is also sometimes rude about them so sometimes life is difficult due to his attitude. My kids however, are great about it, my son even went vegetarian for 3 months ( he said it was out of respect for me which was so sweet) and my daughter is becoming more vegetarian now too from her own choice.
Being vegan is amazing and has helped me leaps and bounds to develop personally and spiritually.
To the vegetarians on here who are worried about cheese - I know I was!- you'll get over it! I don't miss it one bit. When you realise the cruelty in the dairy industry it will make you think twice.

Dolores Cannon ;
"As the Earth changes its vibration and frequency as it raises itself into a new dimension, we too must prepare ourselves for transformation. “They” have said that we will notice the physical effects more as the frequencies and vibrations increase.

Many of us can sense this transformation; on another level of our being, something profound is happening. With all the changes going on around us, our physical bodies must also change in order to adjust.

During a time of transformation, some physical symptoms may be unpleasant and cause concern. As the frequency of the planet increases, we will have less difficulty with symptoms caused by energy blockages.

Many of my subjects have been told that they must change their diet in order to make the adjustment in frequencies to achieve physical and spiritualtransformation. They and I have been WARNED REPEATEDLY TO STOP EATING MEATS, especially BEEF and PORK. WE WERE CAUTIONED AGAINST EATING ANIMAL PROTEIN IN GENERAL, due to the processing with harsh chemicals and artificial ingredients which act as irritants to the body.

The body cannot achieve transformation if toxins are polluting it."

I have been vegetarian for about 5 years now. Feel so much better for it, one of the best things I ever did. People always say to me the same things. Don't you miss bacon, what about a hamburger, how do you get your protein, what about iron?
I could not eat anything like that now, it would be weird. They are so miss informed about nutrician, there is so many things you can eat you don't need to eat animals.

Hello Everyone, I'm Isa, I've recently become a vegetarian - and I'm loving it.

I couldn't eat meat anymore. It was repelling. It made me think of the animals that were killed.... Animals have souls. They are beings who have consciousness. We are all spiritual beings. Eating animals makes us murderers. Harsh, but true. I'm so glad I'm out of it.

Hi, my name is Bachi... I'm new to the group and the web page. Recently in the last 5 months I have become Vegetarian. I work as a chef professionally and have been dedicating my career to vegan and vegetarian cooking... So the transition seemed naturally to me. I have been fighting this change in my life, until recently, when I became more in tune with the feelings of the animal I was costuming. In the last few months I have also become aware of
My past lives in the Lyran star system- so this life change makes a lot of sense.

Anyone out there with similar experiences of recounts of life as a Lyran?

Making some vegan kitchari tonight, have my rice, quinoa, and mung dal soaking for 7-8 hours right now in one of my favorite bowls (a pretty stainless steel one I got at a thrift shop haul around Yule). Tonight's veggies will include kale, onion, and carrots.

I first tried kitchari quite a few years ago after reading about it in a yoga/wellness magazine. It has become one of my favorite dishes - so wholesome & balancing, easy to digest, and all the lovely spices make such a deliciously fragrant dish. ♥
