Amazing song.What really captured my imagination into the whole ego perspective of the song came with the opening words of the song "time here (in the ego) all but means nothing to me, just shadows that move across the wall...they don't say nothing at all...i need a little more silence..." The shadows would be your ego's shadow (the common psyche of all mankind - envy, jealousy, joy, hate...etc). They (the shadows) can't be anymore than a mirror for you...truth lies in the silence of "self" observance.
