Ask Jesus

Two other monks and myself were travelling and fundraising for welfare activities. Over those few weeks I kept bumping into Christians very adamant that I'm on the wrong path, and offered to pray for me. Ensued a number of lively and sometimes emotional debates, but usually friendly. In the end I'd accept their prayers with gratitude.
It was good opportunity to learn protection of my energy and how to articulate thoughts and feelings regarding theirs and my beliefs.
As time passed, thoughts of who Jesus really was began nagging me. Was he really who the Christians say he is, is he something else, or did he not exist at all?? Because I wasn't sure, it was difficult to be confident expressing opinions with Christians. So...
I took their advice and asked Jesus himself! =D

Sincerely requesting Jesus to let me know who he is and where these particular Christians were at spiritually, I opened up to him. Revealing to him my confusion and hunger to know, I cried.

3 days later I walked past a bookstore with a small box out front reading '20% off'. Not something I'd normally be drawn to, but this particular box intrigued me.
I peeked in and pulled out a silver hardcover book titled, 'Galactic Federation.' Wow, that's interesting.
I randomly flicked opened the book, to find a message from Jesus Christ :)

I Am Jesus Christ, the way the truth and the light.
I don't support the way my name is used to support the false ego of some in your world today...

The message continued for 3 pages but I realised that Jesus had answered my prayer and I needn't read on. It was both simple and profound. Feeling a sense of wonder and gratitude, I gave deep thanks. A weight lifted from my shoulders and I felt that I'd no longer feel confusion dealing with these people.
And I haven't.

Admin Team Comment by Acyutananda on July 26, 2011 at 6:42pm: Actually, Jesus wasn't a direct avatar/incarnation of Krishna. He was what's known in sanskrit is a shakti-avesh-avatar, which mean he was a soul empowered by Krishna but not Krishna Himself.

Otherwise you're totally right. All these empowered, compassionate souls who take birth to uplift humanity over long periods of time. Their sacrifices are great and we shed tears of gratitude and humility for what they've done. Compared to them we are but candles held up to the sun... but even paupers are proud of their pennies.
