I embrace my darkness, but lately it's just been terrible. I think dark thoughts, and banish them, but lately they have been numerous and plentiful. I feel... evil, and I don't know why. I haven't done anything bad, but I feel like I have. Maybe it's what I'm not doing. I'm trying to meditate, but I don't think it's working. I can't relax, mentally or physically. I'm constantly frustrated, I can't sit still, not even to read, which is usually my favorite passtime. What's wrong with me?

It starts out with five tousand red-winged blackbirds dropping out of the sky at night, and a hundred thousand drum (that's a kind of fish) in a twenty mile strech of river just dying. My future

My David has gone back to college. I won't see him again for quite some time. A void grows in my heart, I miss him so desperately. He's only got a few more years here before he goes off. He's planning on disappearing soon, and who could blame him? He has a mission to fulfill, we both do, and they take us in different paths, at least for a while.
