I am now going to whole heartenly dedicate my free time to "tuning up" my abilities. So I may not participate in discussions as much until I am confident in my awakened abilities. It may take some time, but I will stop by on ocassion to let you know Im still alive. hehehe.

Edward, Thank you for your friend connection! Yesterday, I had an unusual experience and it may not at all be connected to you, but I am enough of a peace warrior to share it and laugh with myself being out there . I have a song I conceived to call peace into the world intentionally. I sing it often to myself, sending it out to the etheric. Yesterday, I was asked to take a short journey with my guide, and I was immediately with this group of musicians. I saw a guitarist clearly. This made no sense to me as I don't play around in the astral, but Val (my guide) said he brought me there to sing my I'm Calling Peace song, which I did.  LOL! I know this is a weird story, but life is for fun and sacred play. I gratefully accept your friendship connection and know you are peace, loving light.

Major 7ths, for me, have an almost ethereal, dream-like quality, that can sometimes be rather subtly hidden but then equally it can be strident. Finishing on a major 7th leaves that air of suspense, but not the same as hanging on a suspended chord (like a 4th or a 2nd) -- the resolution is left for the listener to add their own intepretation. Rather similar, but not the same to 6ths. Finishing a sort of rock/blues on a 6th added a nice dimension once. Going back to the major 7th though --- I wonder if anyone else feels more of a 'minor' chord connection than a major one sometimes..... Certain chords have certain resonances.... for example a C major 7th just feels 'dreamy in a minor-sounding way' to me -- whereas a G7 feels more resonant, more strident. All rather difficult to explain --- and, of course, the flavour alters anyway depending on the key and the tonal structure around the chords. (Raises a glass to major 7ths and all who sail in them!) :-)

I fully agree with you that music connects energetically as vibrations. Sound is a vibration of the universe, and as such I imagine that various frequencies resonate here. It's interesting because although I mainly love higher frequencies (particularly orchestral triangle sounds and japanese symbols), I do have certain low notes that particularly feel right. For example, on the guitar the bottom F# for some reason feels very soothing -- even to the point that I felt a need to specifically write a piece in F# minor a while ago. The keys of D major and D minor are also particularly resonant at the moment, although for a long while I went along with the guitarist's thing of working in 'easy' keys such as E minor and A minor, purely because of the sound. Got that out of my system now, more or less, although interestingly a friend of mine, a good guitarist, still loves working with A minor -- but has a particular thing of using the A harmonic minor scale to get his 'vibe' going! Strange!
