I have a friend and he is a green giant

My friend is taller than the empire state building

And some day he’s gonna help me defeat the empire of the state

Hes got a big smile

bubbly eyes

And a face that just sings right back

I believe that he used to have wings

hundreds of millions of years ago He fell unto this earth

He was covered by rock, Layers and layers and layers of rock

all the grass

all the trees

And all of the flowers were just the hairs on his back

But now man has uncovered these layers of rock

These layers and layers and layers of rock

So he is free to sing with you and me

His voice is strong like his sister, mount Helena

His words are soft like the feathers that once gave him flight

His hum is underneath everything

Can’t you hear it now?

Let your body be saturated with His hymn, it is older that the time

You can see it written in the layers of rock that once covered him

You hear it in the rise and fall of the ocean

With each breath she whispers “I gave you this,

and I will take it away”

She move in cycles, rising and falling

Giving,

And taking.

My friend gives me courage

I don’t have to sing to that old tune anymore

The ocean will come and take back the farmland

And wash away our cities

And With each breath “I gave you this, And I will take it away”

It is true, from the ocean to the sky

Every single atom,

Even the ones that compose this very body

Were once part of a star

And sometime from now

They will again be part of a star

And that stars name is Christ

And that stars name is Krisna

And that stars name is Buddah
