In the last few days, the weather here in the south of france has been extreme....from extreme heat one day, to extreme wind the next, and then rain storms....!

the night before last, i went out to my look-out point to be under the full blue moon, and witnessed an awesome lightning storm not far out at sea....the skies around this storm were fairly clear still, and i observed several UFO's going into and coming out of this lightning storm - then disappearing ! 

i've seen these before...they are the small craft type that appear as star-sized flashing lights that move and flash in an irregular way...sometimes the light separates into two or three parts and then comes back together.;;fascinating! -went back out later, and they were gone...lightning storm had moved on....

weather has been mental in england.

 we had our first earthquakes a few years back, and this year we had a supercell storm just off the south coast. the uk wont be safe from the weather soon :S

A little comment about the negative stuff concerning SETI, I would have posted it in the discussion but Sarah has felt she needed to close the thread. Apparently thanks to the comments. Radio signals are much more than you guy are realising. You fire a laser into space, it will emit a "radio" signal, pulsars emit radio signals, as do every other star in the Universe, and every planet, most asteroids, and God only knows what else. Put "radio" right out of your head and replace it with frequency. Frequency is vibration, vibration is everything. Yes, they are using radio telescopes, no, they are not what everyone equates as "Radio".

As for SETI being bought out by the government, there is some truth there, some. SETI is not the only ones looking at these signals and the government no longer supports SETI financially so their hands in the pie have diminished. You can bet your butts that when a genuine "Alien" signal is found, Uncle Sam & Associates won't be able to stop the spread of the information. It will be on tens, if not hundreds of thousands of computers around the world.

I'd be willing to bet that my computer has looked at a couple ten thousand interesting possible signals and I don't run them as fast as many people who have 8 core processors running with the sole purpose of running SETI@home.
