as you all know i created this group for anybody to come too if they are new here or just feeling lost in the site. its more of a tutorial really for newbies but anyone can join in and discuss and contribute own information. :) i hope this helps you.

New Member Guide

WARNING: BEFORE YOU READ THE EMAIL SECTION BELOW YOU MAY WANT TO SEE THE SECTION BELOW EMAIL CALLED "ADDING FRIENDS AND REMOVING FRIENDS" FIRST AS ADDING A FRIEND IS A MUST BEFORE YOU CAN SEND MAILS :)


EMAIL

right lets start off with the email part of the site. on sites like these you can send and receive emails from members of this site, like normal email except its for the site. you can send to one person or a number of people at once. so lets try it out

1. first please look near the top right hand conner of this site please. at the top of the site is the site's banner then below this is the tabs and links leading off to different parts of site( don't be afraid to explore these :) ). underneath the tabs in top right hand corner you should come to a small box with your name on as a header. in this box it should say these links
sign out (to sign out the site)

inbox (the mail in box for your mails on site)

friends (to see how many friends you have and visit their profile pages)

settings (this changes various options like the lookout of your page)

the one we want to click out of these is inbox. please click there. now on here should open up a page showing your inbox and the mails you received(if any). if you want to see the messages just click on them here and another page will open up showing the message fully and allowing you to reply to it. if you want to reply just click reply and if its a message that was sent out to lots of people and you want your reply to go to all of the recipients just hit reply all otherwise just hit reply for 1 to 1 reply.

to send email please look to right hand side of the inbox page and you should see a link which says +compose. click this. now another page will load which shows send to, subject, and message. first you'll want to select the friends you want to send mail too. (as many as you want or all if you wish :) ) i should warn you before you send mail to anybody on this site you must first add them as friend(ill tell you how below). once you do this select your friends to send emails to then fill the subject in(the name of the mail like a title) then put your message in the message part.

once your done, hit send, and that's it on how to send mail :) (if your still stuck please just ask me or anyone here though i cant guarantee myself i will know what do do all time since im still discovering what things do here but others might know :P )

that concludes the tutorial for mail sending and receiving.

ADDING FRIENDS AND REMOVING FRIENDS

now we move on to adding friends. adding friends allows people who meet here to stay in touch and send mails to one another.

first to do this you must first go to your friend's page. there are a few ways to do this. first is in the chat box. when your chatting in the chat box you should see a list of names on the right. to visit people's profiles you click on their name then it slides upwards revelling 2 options

view profile (to view a person's profile)
private chat (to private chat with someone, like normal chat but private! )

the one we want is view profile. click on this to be taken to the persons page. the other methods are if you are part of the forums and discussion you should see peoples profile pictures with their names and their posts. click on their name(not picture) to be taken to their page. these are two ways i know of getting to a person's page, there are more ways but i might take up too much room here :P but if you want me to tell you these other ways then please just tell me by mailing or just replying below :)

now you should be in the person's page. you can have a look around here if you want and please take time to scroll down to near bottom of person's page to a section named comments. here you can post comments or little notes for people to see when they go to their pages. just type in a link or just some words and click leave comment! :)

now please direct your attention back to the top of the person's page. the top left hand corner should show a profile picture and below this a box with the person's name on it and a little bit of info with these options

add as friend (adds the person as friend)

send a message( sends a message to person like the mail but you first must add them as friend)

share (im not too sure what this is for but please just ask anyone here)

share on twitter and share on facebook (again im sorry im not too sure)

block messages (i think this blocks messages from this person who's profile it is but ive never used this and again not too sure)

the one we want is add as friend. click on this. then the page should darken (don't worry) and a little box should pop-up with a question as header( add "person's name" as friend? )
then "persons name" will have to accept your friend ship. then you can add a little personal message is you want. if you want to still send the request hit send or if not hit cancel. that's it the box should go away then a message will come up saying "this person will have to accept your friend request. don't worry this is normal and you will have to wait to for them to accept friend request. then after that you are friends :)

after this you'll be able to send mail to one another using the method above :)

im sorry this is not a complete guide and some parts on it may seem missing. these gaps represent holes in my knowledge of this site and me not wanting to bore you with endless paragraphs. but if you want a new section adding just ask me or for any advice. or ask anyone on the site. i hope people will contribute their own helpful hints here and questions.too. :)

first thing is don't panic- believe me panic only prolongs the nervousness of it. just feel free to ask around :) most here will want to help.
