NEW THEME/LAYOUT

OK,

 

So the site is back up, sorry it took so long, this is where you can tell me if you want to keep the layout as it is, or change it back to 3 columns. It's up to you guys :)

 

I am so pissed! lol I tired the new design editor provided by NING (Which thankfully you don't need to switch to permanently) and it was a complete bust, I don't know what they released but it was awful, I made so many mistakes, I had to shut the site down for this long! In the end I wanted to at least keep something from that hard work, so I kept the theme, sorry guys no new layout till they tell me what the heck is wrong with their new designer. UGH!

I was shocked to see the white background yesterday, and I went back to alter the text colours of some posts as I had chosen text colours for a dark background and some were too pale on the white. I did like the heading  picture that had a gorgeous eye and part of a face though.

I know a lot of people will like the white, but I prefer the dark backgound, it's more spacey and mystical and I think images look lighter as they 'jump out' more .

I appreciate your efforts to try out new things for the site though and hope you find what you're looking for

You would think the white would work more with so many beings of light on here , but the black is just so much more soothing on the  eyes.  lol

We're all from outer space which is mostly pretty dark.  I think the black just makes us feel more at home.  Plus when people post in pink text over a white background our eyes start to melt a little.

hay you tried , its the thought that counts , you was trying to make it more awesome for us , and for that i have to thank you love you sister, But i must say i like the dark back round it makes it easer to see, and less head dizzyness ya know what i mean , hugsss peace and love to you Yshatar

Image is very important to a site like this, if a site looks a certain way it can put new people off. Its often subconscious but its true like it or not. Colour is energy so it sends a message and the look can say if this place is about NOW or about the past or about the future. Ive seen allot of very badly designed websites and ning sites and it does put people off, plus as you can see if its hard to read, confusing or chaotic people wont use it.

 

Im glad this background is back, there have been a few really good ones. I would say and anyone on here who is also from a graphic design background, that if you change your image to much people forget you. Updating is good but not to often, because you can lose your identity. Just my 2c.
