NEW THEME/LAYOUT

OK,

 

So the site is back up, sorry it took so long, this is where you can tell me if you want to keep the layout as it is, or change it back to 3 columns. It's up to you guys :)

 

I am so pissed! lol I tired the new design editor provided by NING (Which thankfully you don't need to switch to permanently) and it was a complete bust, I don't know what they released but it was awful, I made so many mistakes, I had to shut the site down for this long! In the end I wanted to at least keep something from that hard work, so I kept the theme, sorry guys no new layout till they tell me what the heck is wrong with their new designer. UGH!

I am really enjoying the fresh look on the site, these days (love the old one, and the one before that, too...) but REALLY enjoying this. Totally relate to this woman meditating as trains rush by!!!

Hmmm............all is see is a white background. No image or colors of any kind. Just black and white. My personal page is still colorful, but all site pages are the black and white. Am I missing something?

I am missing the black background.  The white seems too pristine

to me.  Also front page layout doesn't seem as inviting or

grabbing to me.  I know this must be a royal pain to keep up with.

But as a designer I can't help but be aware of these things.

I feel the white theme! Gives a more welcoming feeling too the site :)
Im not really feeling the picture of the women meditating in traffic :O Thats dangerous Ysh ;) Also she kind of takes the "Space/cosmic" feeling away from Starseeds.net
Not being picky, jsut offering an opinion here: I think (whenever you can) add something "Cosmic" to the white.. let it be planets, stars, ET beings/UFO's,something with energy or Chakras etc.. something out of worldy to give that "Starseed" feeling :) the white is inviting to me, but there is less of a cosmic feeling thats all <3

But guess what, Kris? Yesterday, the picture was this woman with awesome blue eyes. Maybe Ysh plans to rotate the pics? I'll have to stay tuned...

I think this new layout matches the new energies. It's time to bring the light to Earth. We can get back to the stars later ;-)

I actually really like the white. The text is a lot easier on my peppers. I'm able to read the posts and not feel my eyes are crawling.

The layout changes so often anyways, so I'm alright with any changes with that, but I do like the white :3

The constant change gets a little annoying, but I understand that you're trying to find a nice setting for the place. When I don't like something in terms of decoration I keep changing it till my heart is pleased.

But can you do something about the white? It's just too... white... Or can a user change the whole scheme to whatever fits their taste, individually?

This is something I have always loved. The only constant in the universe is change, and the change makes things interesting. There are a couple sites I have been on for 10 years or so and they have stayed the same since the beginning, I get very bored when I go to them.

the white is soooo bright oh my. but glad to be back : ) i love this website so much. i don't always post a lot etc, but i appreciate it and enjoy it and thanks for making it available  :3

I know :) and I like change usually, if it is mostly natural and if it is intended or supposed to happen, you know? It's something you feel emanating from you, if you feel it you change! This is exterior to me and something I don't care much about, but too much light is just too much. If your skin catches too much sun it starts to burn, it's a natural reaction to the high amount of light and UVs and IRs... I think Queen have a song about it "too much love will kill you". If you drink too much water you bloat! :P

I used the words "too much" too much!

hm okay here is my opinion: Im a biiiiiiig fan of the old lasercolortheme;) as u know:) Cause its spesial and its different from many other starseeds pages out there. With the mystical symbols and angelic(?) writings. ( That really caught my eyes when i chose a site to be on )  I came to this also because THAT old original theme atracted me ..it was soooooo UNICE <3 

 

The theme that is put on now well  ......to me it looks like some girl saying her last prayer before a suiside standing in the middle of a very traficated road...:O Looks kinda well....totally  wrong message?

 

But anyway eventhough i love white, its still missing something i feel <3
