An unaffected Pekingese, Noil ("lion" spelled backwards) teaches me unconditional LOVE.  After all, is not GOD spelled backwards D-O-G?   LOL

Every time I go home to visit my parents, my mother tells me that she has told her dog, Noil, that I AM enroute.  She says. he stirs, jumps around, stands on his hind hind legs, bobbing his fore legs as if asking for the food he knows I AM going to share with him--food that didn't come out of a PetSmart bag.   I think he knows my name and loves me, not just because I offer a break from his normal food source but because he loves me, as children and dogs do.  When I arrive he greets me at the door, tail wagging, tongue hanging out, smiling, panting for a chance to greet me, turns on his back and bask in the idea that I might rub his belly and drop a  tasty morsel of whatever I might eat later on.  

There have been times when I have retreated to the comfort of my parents home looking for the safe shelter where I prefer to believe are people who understand and love me despite my being a weird sort of character.  Noil lies directly under my bed, the one where I slept while growing up. right under my body.  By the way, I still draw 12-D shields, no matter where I AM.  My mother, later in the evening, beckons him with a doggy treat to come out so she can put him in his overnight kennel, but he always refuses to come out initially, as if soaking up the loving energies that are present in and around me.  Eventually he comes out, looks back at me and goes to his resting place for the night.  

Even when I AM not in the mood to be bothered, and shoo him away when I AM eating a home-cooked meal, he never seems to remember me not remembering him.  He never seems to remember that I shooed him away.  With or without food, he ALWAYS comes to my side to lends his loving energy, almost as if he knows I need it, just as he does.  

A guru once told me that "dogs have only one chakra--the heart chakra".  Does anyone know if that is true?

And so,I AM am reminded of the principle of the HEART CHAKRA, that "LOVE IS DIVINE POWER".
