I feel very close to Leonardo. I feel that I may have known him in some way. I would constantly research him as a kid. I find it odd that I was always drawn to this ancient guy but I did not feel that appealed by his art, but more on the side of what he taught. 

I see his concept of light and dark as metaphoric, not just as observational. My translation: Those blinded by the "light" when given another perspective (on any regards of life) will see it as a "darkness" to them. I instantly thought of belief systems when reading his wise words. Learn from your ancestors the concepts they spent trying to teach us future children.... 

On a side note:

I get pretty bugged by many people who disregard any of the wisdom our ancestors left for us. Does anyone else feel this way? And, I know for a fact that many of us are on our own journey in this life, and things will fall into place naturally for those who are lost, as they should. But, the human ego part of me can't help but feel that many people turn a blind eye to what our ancestors were trying to convey to us. Growing up  I had always believed in the mythologies and stories that were left for us to decipher. I enjoyed trying to put the pieces together like a puzzle and I could not relate to those who did not thirst to search for the same hidden truths as I. I still feel this way. My human part. My universal part just feels that I need to let those feelings go and let it be because the time we create is our friend sometimes.
