Reuniting Humanity With Their Divinity...It's Time
Has anyone ever been having a conversation with someone, just sharing opinions, theories and so on, and the other person all of a sudden tells you that you sound like a Scientologist and so on? I find this pretty funny and am wondering if anyone has ever had these experiences. I have since then just not talked about philosophical matters as much, just talking about trivial stuff, since most around me just want to talk of trivial stuff, which I am not quite as excited about anymore, but it still fun in a way, but I think silence really is golden a lot of the times.

Permalink Reply by Ragnarok on February 10, 2012 at 3:39am Yup I get called a scientologist a lot and I'll tell you why. My field of study is psychology, and my own study has been on the psyche. As I'm sure many starseeds are becoming aware (especially if you've read one of my previous posts), the entire psychiatric field (including the labels and drugs) is a scam. People do not have a chemical imbalance. People do not have a mental disease. The labels and drugs are used for social control. And as for the psychiatric drugs themselves, well they're toxic and potentially harmful with many of the 'side-effects' mimicking the symptoms of the disorder they are supposed to treat.
So, because of my studies and that I do not support psychiatric labeling or drugging, many within that field (medical students or those educated through the media) see those of an 'anti-psychiatry' perspective as being a scientologist. This also extends further to an organization called Citizens Commission for Human Rights (CCHR) which was originally founded by Thomas Szasz (a psychiatrist) and the Church. I personally fully support the efforts of CCHR and what they do in exposing the dangers of psychiatry, but I do not support what scientology itself sells. So many medical students are pretty much brainwashed by the system to respond automatically to those who disagree with psychiatry by either calling them mentally ill for not accepting it, by calling them a scientologist in an attempt to discredit them, or just by reacting with anger and abuse. Seriously, have a conversation with any medical student and say you don't believe that 'mental illness' is a real biological disease and you don't believe drugs are the answer and watch the response.
Permalink Reply by Leland Palmer on February 10, 2012 at 9:59am Have had that experience before, regarding psychiatry. The thing is, there is a difference between just talking about medications being a scam and actually having taken almost every medication on the market and being effected mentally, which many of us have probably been through, speaking from having experienced all of the psychiatric drugs...which isn't taken into consideration a lot of the time by some people in the psychiatric industry. Personally, I have been way better off without those drugs...I really don't see a difference between psychiatrists I have seen in the past and how Scientologists are portrayed (not saying all of them of course). How can one trust someone who doesn't even respond without letting emotions like anger get in the way of a reasonable debate, to "treat" them for their "chemical imbalances"...it's silly.
I agree with stopping at a certain point when sharing things, it usually turns into a disaster...also another response would be "that is pseudo science bullshit" and so on...its hard for people to listen to other's opinions these days...still doesn't mean I will stop listening to them though...it is almost like being afraid of losing this whole self made sense of self they have just by listening and looking at another point of view...of course, it doesn't always turn out this way.
